November 2017: How will legalization and the proliferation of medical marijuana impact RSAT programming?
To answer this question, we include a paper Linda Frazier, AHP Director of Addictions Initiatives presented at a recent National Cannabis Summit in Denver last August. Marijuana Legalization

Also, see the AHP webinar broadcast Dec 20, 2017. Legalization: Potential Implications for Criminal Justice and RSAT Programming

The webinar focused on the effect marijuana legalization have on criminal justice. Currently 29 states and the District of Columbia have legalized cannabis for medical and/or recreational use. What impact will recreational marijuana legalization have on Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RSAT) programming? Because legalization is relatively new, and policy and regulations are evolving, broad generalizations about the impact on criminal justice, law enforcement and RSAT programs are difficult to identify at this point in time. This presentation provides an overview of marijuana legalization with a preliminary analysis/overview of the anticipated effects on criminal justice and RSAT programming.
