Niki Miller



Ms. Miller is a senior program manager at Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP). Before coming to AHP Niki served as Administrator of Women Offenders and Family Services for the state of New Hampshire. While at the Department of Corrections, she also oversaw the Bureau of Justice Assistance initiative to prevent and respond to prison sexual assault. She has been a part of the GAINS Center workgroups on trauma in the criminal justice system, has consulted with the Department of Justice and a number of states on trauma and workforce development issues. She served on the research team of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment’s Pregnant and Post-Partum Women’s program, as a consultant for the Women, Children and Families Initiative and with the ATTC on evidence-based practice installation.  She has contributed curricula for first responders, police academies, state prison systems, alcohol/drug treatment providers and domestic/sexual violence professionals. She received a gubernatorial commendation for her work with at-risk women and girls and the Susan B. Anthony award from the YWCA while working as founding Director of the New Hampshire Taskforce on Women & Recovery. For more than 25 years, her work has highlighted recovery from trauma and sexual and interpersonal violence in addiction and mental health treatment and prevention.
